John Perry; I got my introduction to Gsd’s when I bought my first dog "Willowdale Macks" or "MAX" about 6 yrs ago, from that point on I was hooked, his character is just something else, his temperament second to none. Bought as a pet Max always caught people’s eye and got loads of attention even as a puppy. At about 2yrs old I took Max to Magheramoure just outside Larne to watch a show, the 2 day joint clubs show. As we watched the proceedings Max got even more attention than usual someone even offered to buy him off me. Then we bumped into Max’s breeders Jean & Jackie Duff it was the first time they had seen Max since selling him to me. They told me about the Ulster German Shepherd Dog Club and invited me along. Max and I went along the next Sunday and it all began from there. After a bit of persuasion it was decided that I should begin showing Max. It wasn’t long before we got our first class win and that was it I was hooked and the hard work began. Max went from strength to strength eventually becoming an Irish Champion and in 2006 he became the joint annual Champion in Ireland for the breed.
Now I’m the Chairman of The Ulster German Shepherd Dog Club and the proud owner of a number of top quality GSD’s .
Pauline Sewell: A dog lover at heart Shepherds wouldn’t have been her main focus but after meeting Max and getting involved in the show scene she too became hooked. Pauline will always have an eye for all dogs, but is the heartbeat of Besondere GSD’s grooming, training and spoiling the dogs.
And so for the next step breeding quality German Shepherds for show homes and pet home alike this is were the hard work begins……….
